about

hi, i'm katy

the gay hands behind the gay pieces.

i grew up catholic in ohio, planning to study theology and maybe even become a nun. but when i learned how the church demonized and silenced queer folks, my world shifted. i left the church and began carving out a different kind of faith practice. one grounded in art, protest, and queerness.

Katy in the pottery studio

today, i live openly as a proud lesbian, creating pieces that carry both reverence and resistance.

queerly beloved pottery was born from that space: where queerness, faith, and community meet.

from the start, i've chosen to donate the profits from this work to organizations supporting queer & trans youth of faith.

my time in the studio is given freely. each piece reflects not just craft, but care and resistance shaped in clay.

this is sacred work. thank you for being part of it.
